Tom Hahn
Tom Hahn, who has lived in Sun City since 2017 and joined Staying Connected as a Home Maintenance volunteer in 2018, served Home Maintenance Coordinator and most recently, as aa member of the Board of Directors, has been appointed by the Board to assume the position of President. Tom has owned several manufacturing companies and been in advisory or Board positions for a number of non-profit organizations over the years. His leadership experience in the non-profit world ensures that Staying Connected will continue to thrive.

Lisbet Duponte
Lisbet Duponte joins the Board with 40 years of leadership roles within the international Sweet Adeline organization. She was born in Denmark, lived in Sweden before moving to the U.S. in 1985. Lisbet moved to Sun City in 2013, where she has served as a Neighborhood Representative for 6 years, and served as Vice Chairperson for the Resident Advisory Council. She is currently the Director of the Sun Tones Chorus in Sun City.

Jim Burnham
​Jim’s 35-year corporate career was in the Transportation Industry where he held senior management positions managing large regional US and International transportation and cash management service operations. He ended his corporate career as Division President for Loomis, the largest integrated cash distribution network in the US. Jim transitioned his career and spent 14 years working as Business Manager for a Non-Profit - The Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, Georgia, the home for a community of Trappist monks who are part of the worldwide Cistercian Order of the Strict Observance. He continues as their financial and business advisor today. He has served in numerous volunteer positions for both his town and his church communities throughout his work career. Since retiring and moving to the Low Country in 2019 he has served as a home companion for Hospice and a transportation volunteer for Staying Connected. He is an active member of St Gregory the Great here in Bluffton. He is the Financial Secretary for the Ancient Order of Hibernians of Beaufort County and treasurer for his Neighborhood, Alexandria Village.

Mary O'Brien
Mary O’Brien is a retired corporate manager, working for large corporations including Stanley Works. Her public service includes serving as President, the Warwick RI GFWC Junior Women’s Club. She currently serves as VP of the GFWC Women’s League of the LowCountry, and on the Board of Directors for the Jasper County Boys and Girls Club. Mary has served Staying Connected as a volunteer since March, 2013. She initially served as a Transportation Volunteer, later assuming the role of Transportation Coordinator before assuming her most recent position, as Director of Services.
Treasurer
Bonnie Taylor
Bonnie moved to Sun City in 2016 and joined Staying Connected as a volunteer that same year. She is also a member of the 100+ Women who Care - Sun City community group and was one of the very first to join. Bonnie brings 30 years of experience in real estate and insurance, where her responsibilities included the management of the Accounting and Human Resources departments. Ultimately, she became a partner and served on the Board of Directors, Following an early retirement, Bonnie built a successful kitchen remodeling business. She served as social chair in her very active neighborhood for several years. Bonnie is active and is committed to lending a helping hand where it’s needed.

Anna Maria (Tab) Tabernik
Anna Maria (TAB) is a lifelong educator with 30 years experience in K-12 public education, retiring as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum in the 10th largest district in Ohio. She served as the Director of Professional Development for the SMART Consortium (Science and Mathematics Achievement Required for Tomorrow), working directly with school principals, and mathematics teachers to improve leadership and instruction in over 40 school districts. TAB was an adjunct professor at the college level, working with graduate students enhancing their skills in supervision/administration in schools. In addition to serving on the Staying Connected Board, TAB currently volunteers as the Vice President of the Sun City Hilton Head Board of Directors, Chair of the Beaufort County Library Board of Trustees, and District Coordinator for the AARP Tax Foundation in Bluffton.

Lucia Crosby
Lucia was born in Springfield MA and grew up in the Bay Area of California. Lucia graduated from Immaculata College in Washington, DC in 1968 with a degree in Biology. She completed further studies in Hematology at Washington Hospital Center.
Lucia has over 20 years of experience working in the medical field as an Office Manager as well as a phlebotomist. As a successful Real Estate Broker with Century 21, she achieved Top Sales Agent three years in a row. Once her children were grown, she joined Perot Systems Federal Government Operations in their Marketing and Event Planning group. After Perot Systems was acquired, Lucia became the Event Manager for Dell Computer’s Federal Government Division. She was responsible for Dell’s Federal Government Operations participation in military and Federal Expos all over the United States. After Dell closed their Federal Government division, Lucia retired and moved to Sun City in 2014. She began volunteering with Staying Connected in 2015 and has served in Marketing, most recently as Marketing Coordinator. Lucia joined the Board in March 2024.
