This training is designed to help new volunteers use the VicNet software. We hope this will help you locate how and where to log-in and log-out, sign-up for assignments, provide volunteer feedback and post hours on the time sheet.

Volunteers will offer basic home maintenance services to those not capable of performing simple household repairs and have no other capable person available.

Volunteers will offer transportation services to members with limited alternative arrangements (when no member of the household is available to drive) for the purpose of medically-related appointments or grocery shopping.

Volunteers will offer members home visits for the purpose of companionship or care-giver relief.

Companionship Visits: provide companionship and social contact in a member’s homes to members who may be socially isolated, either temporarily or longer-term.

Caregiver Relief Visits: provide an opportunity for member caregivers to leave the home for a short while providing companionship to the household member.
